Only a number of asbestos containing materials (ACMs) are classified as ‘non-licensed’ when it comes to removal. These are generally lower risk where asbestos fibres are not as likely to become airborne during removal. Nonetheless, where ACMs will be affected by impending works or are badly damaged, they need to be removed.
